Facebook EventBeer-loving bicyclists know how great it feels to finish a ride and enjoy a cold beer. In celebration of Ohio Brew Week, Jackie O’s and Athens Bicycle are hosting the Bicycle Cruise to Tasty Brews, a challenging 27-mile bike ride for you to enjoy before you head uptown for Last Call on July 21.
Pick up your map and start your ride at Athens Bicycle on Stimson Ave. (just a block from Jackie O’s Taproom) at 10 a.m., then follow a marked course on a hilly tour of paved back roads and state routes surrounding Athens. Be sure to bring your climbing legs, not your beer legs, because the hills around here are for real! Then roll to the finish at the Taproom, where you can show the bartender your route map to be rewarded with a delicious beverage or select snacks of your choice.
Cost for the ride is $10 and includes a marked course, route map, choice of beverage or dessert afterward at Jackie O’s Taproom, and a killer swag bag from Jackie O’s and Athens Bicycle. Additionally, the first rider to return to the Taproom will receive a special prize from Jackie O’s!
NOTE: Please do not park your car at the Taproom while out on the bike ride. Convenient car parking for the ride is available right next door to Athens Bicycle, on the corner of Stimson and Cornwell. Leave your cars there and roll right up to the Taproom on your bike after the ride, where we will have bike racks set up for you to park your bikes.
