Today’s beer release is one brewed with Seventh Son Brewing on their 30 barrel system in Columbus, Ohio.
“Burrow Owl! Burrow Owl!” is a Hazy double I.P.A., mashed with an oat-heavy grain bill for extra creaminess, hopped in the kettle with Callista, Idaho 7, and Cashmere, and fermented with a Thiol-releasing ale strain from Berkeley Yeast. It was dry-hopped with Sabro, Citra, and Mosaic, and also a new product called Phantasm, which is a powdered, thiol-heavy distillate from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
9.4% abv. Waves of tropical fruit aromas, with notes of lime and coconut as well.
