DJ Barticus to play ABBA at the Smiling Skull

Mama Mia – there is only ONE right answer – yes!
Well, DJ Barticus is going to be playing ABBA’s greatest hits Thursday night at the Smiling Skull Saloon.
Show starts at 8 p.m. at the bar at 108 W. Union Street. And the cover charge is $5 – a bargain for ABBA fans who love the band’s classic hits. More on that in a moment.
Did you know that DJ Barticus, aka Michael Bart, met his wife Emily Beveridge about 17 years ago at the Smiling Skull? Their anniversary is August 5.
“The skull is a special place for me,” said Bart, a well-known 80s disk jockey. If you’ve ever been to one of DJ Barticus’ shows at Casa, you know he plays a huge selection of hits.
The same will be true when he tees up the ABBA’s catalog on Thursday outside on the patio under the stars at the Skull.
Bart said the idea for ABBA night evolved after a discussion with one of the Smiling Skull’s owners, Adrienne Whitney.
“She was saying how much she loved ABBA and wanted to hear ABBA,” he said. “I said, ‘let’s do an ABBA party as soon as possible – maybe during Ohio Brew Week.’”
Well, everybody knows a few chords from ABBA.
