Outerbelt BrewingA rare barrel, for a VERY unique barrel expression! We aged Carnation Maibock, our Spring Limited Lager, in Desert Door brand Sotol barrels from Texas for over 12 months. (So, it is technically “Anejo”!) It takes a beer with a heavier body and malty smoothness to stand up to the strong flavors of this spirit… the rich, robust, golden result has a finish reminiscent of a high end mezcal, with a hint of smokiness, and a boozy kick that would be tamed quite nicely by a splash of lime.
