This year's Ohio Brew Week Homebrew Competition will be sanctioned
by the AHA-BJCP sanctioned competition program. For more information
on the competition, judge and steward opportunities click
here. For a list of styles and guidelines, visit the BJCP
site. The competition will include around 60 styles in 20 categories.

Skilnik is an alumnus of Chicago’s Siebel Institute of Technology,
the oldest brewing school in the U.S.; author of nine food and drink-related
books, including Beer & Food: An American History, and a contributor
to trade journals, magazines, and newspapers, including the Chicago
Tribune's "Good Eating" section. He has appeared on ABC’s
The View, FOX News and ESPN2. While at Ohio Brew Week July 17, 18
and part of the 19th, Bob will talk about: “Why There Might
Be A Beer In Your Refrigerator Today---How Beer Left The Saloon
And Became A Household Guest,” “American Beer History---Urban
Legends That Just Won't Go Away.”

Ray Daniels, author of
Designing Great Beers, and Director of the Cicerone
Certification Program in Chicago, will be the 2008 Ohio
Brew Week keynote speaker. A brewing industry veteran, Daniels
will entertain with talks of beer & food, beer styles,
the business of beer during his two-day visit. He will be
speaking on the theme of “Beer Around the World: We’re
not in Kansas anymore, are we bartender?” More
